Drove by in the evening  wow! We didn't expect it to be up already. Last stint of work before the Christmas break.

Our building journey in Victoria with Simonds

We thought we would create a blog to document our first home build with Simonds in Victoria.

We have quite traditional styles and were grateful that Simonds could accommodate for this.

We chose a single storey home which we were able to customise and enlarge to approximately 30 square metres which will be built on a plot of land which is approximately 1000m2 in rural Victoria.

This is a very rough edited design of what our house will look like - however, colours are not the same as we will have all cream coloured window frames and same with garage and a few other things.

  
The house facade is based on the below double storey facade as seen in the below photos:-

We spent a lot of time going through the available house plans and in the end we chose a Dakota but made a lot of amendments. Here is the Dakota with the available fusion options:- 

This is what we ended up with after months of editing and back and forths:- 

Our aim was to create a home with ample storage room, including a huge WIR for all of our clothes! We also wanted double frontage and symmetry as you look at the house. 

We can't wait to see our home come to life!
